- Google has warned YouTube TV subscribers that they might lose Disney content this week.
- The firm said its agreement with Disney ends on Friday, December 17 and that a new deal hasn’t been signed.
- The company said it would cut YouTube TV pricing by $15 if it can’t come to a new deal.
Google recently threatened to pull YouTube and YouTube TV from Roku’s platforms before the two parties eventually agreed to a new deal last week. The dust has just settled on this agreement, but it turns out that Google is now dealing with another streaming dispute.
The company warned YouTube TV subscribers in a blog post that its deal with Disney for various Disney channels expires on Friday, December 17 and that the two parties haven’t come to a new agreement yet. Google claims that it wants Disney to offer YouTube TV “the same rates that services of a similar size pay” for the channels.
