Samsung confirmed that it’ll be showing off new Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold phones at its Unpacked event on August 11, allowing users to pre-reserve these devices as well. Now, Samsung India has opened pre-bookings for the phones as well.
The Korean company revealed that Indian consumers can pre-book the new phones from today (August 6) by paying Rs 2,000 (~$27) via Samsung’s online store or the Samsung Shop app. Users who take this route will get a smart tag for free, with the Rs 2,000 figure being subtracted from the device’s overall asking price.
Samsung recently opened reservations in the US too, offering $100 extra trade-in value for your old phone, 12 months of Samsung Care Plus, and an undisclosed pre-order offer. You can check out the US reservation page and the Indian registration page via the buttons at the bottom of the page.
Otherwise, we’re expecting the Korean company to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Both devices are rumored to offer water-resistant designs, while the Z Fold 3 is tipped to get S Pen support as well.
The large-screen foldable has also been the subject of a major leak-drop today courtesy of WinFuture. The trusted German tech outlet claims that the Z Fold 3 will offer a Snapdragon 888 SoC, 12GB of RAM, 256GB to 512GB of storage, and a 4,400mAh battery. This device is also slated to come with a triple 12MP rear camera system, a 10MP camera for the smartphone screen, and a 4MP under-display selfie camera for the foldable display.
