  • Xiaomi will launch the Mi Band 6 in India on August 26.
  • The company is also bringing a new Mi Notebook to the country.

Xiaomi is hosting a Smarter Living event in India on August 26. While the invite shared with us on email doesn’t reveal much, Xiaomi India’s Chief Business Officer, Raghu Reddy, confirmed to India Today that the Mi Band 6 will finally make its debut in the country.

The fitness band launched back in April and is only now making its way to India. Xiaomi has managed to pack more features in it while keeping the price low as always. Compared to the Mi Band 5, the sixth generation Mi Band comes with a larger AMOLED display, double the number of activity modes, and blood oxygen monitoring. It can also now assess sleep breathing quality, in addition to carrying forward useful features such as 5ATM water resistance, Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI), and more.

Besides the Mi Band 6, Reddy also confirmed the launch of a new Mi Notebook with a backlit keyboard. The Xiaomi executive revealed that the existing lineup of Mi Notebooks —  Mi Notebook 14, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, and Mi Notebook 14 e-learning edition — will be discontinued after the launch.

We don’t yet know the specs of the new Mi laptop, but chances are it’ll be costlier than before. You can also expect to see some big spec upgrades on the machine.

Apart from the Mi Band 6 and the Mi Notebook, Xiaomi is also expected to announce a few other products on the day. The teaser image accompanying the invite suggests new TWS earbuds, TVs, and more.
