- A new report claims that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 could use three battery makers.
- In addition to Samsung itself, the foldable phones could have batteries made by ATL and LG.
- The phones are scheduled to be revealed at Samsung’s Unpacked event on August 10.
As we approach the reveal date for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 phones, a minor but interesting new wrinkle has been reported. According to the Korean site The Elec (via Phone Arena), both of the next-gen foldable phones could use batteries from three separate companies.
The report claims that in addition to batteries supplied by the company’s own Samsung SDI division, the phones will also have batteries made by Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) and by LG Energy Solution.
