- New Jersey authorities are warning of a new phishing attempt.
- The scam targets T-Mobile customers and cannot be blocked.
Bad actors are targeting T-Mobile with a new phishing scam that appears to be unblockable at the moment.
First reported by the New Jersey Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC), and confirmed by Android Authority, the phishing scam involves sending customers a text message thanking them for paying a bill and offering a free gift. The text message includes a malicious link to redeem the gift. What makes this particular phishing scam so frustrating is the fact that it can’t be easily blocked.
