- The Samsung One UI 4.0 beta is officially landing in the United States tomorrow.
- Starting the morning of September 14, 2021, the beta will be available for Galaxy S21 devices.
- More devices and more areas will see support eventually.
If you’ve been waiting patiently to give Android 12 a shot on your Samsung phone, the time is nigh! Samsung just revealed to Android Authority that the first beta of the new operating system will roll out in the United States starting in just a few hours.
The first Samsung One UI 4.0 beta will land on Samsung Galaxy S21 phones here in the US starting the morning of September 14. This will be the first official taste of Android 12 on Samsung phones.

As with previous years, you’ll need the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy S21. Within that app, a banner ad will appear promoting the One UI beta program. Tap that, follow the instructions, and you’ll be on your way to giving the new software a shot.
If you don’t see the banner ad, you’ll need to keep checking. Samsung purposefully limits the beta program, so not everyone will have the opportunity to test out Samsung One UI 4.0.
Eventually, though, One UI 4.0 will come to more Samsung phones and more areas of the world. Samsung just likes to start out simple.
We don’t know if the new One UI will feature a similar design overhaul as we’ve seen with Android 12 itself. However, Samsung hinted at as much when it told us the beta will have “a wealth of theme options” that will “let you adjust the look and functionality of your device.”
Stay tuned for more info on Samsung One UI 4.0!
