  • A reliable leaker has shown us renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22.
  • The design doesn’t look too different from that of the Galaxy S21.
  • The device looks to be smaller and thinner than this year’s model, though.

Yesterday we saw reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer push out renders of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Earlier this morning, we saw renders for the Galaxy S22 Plus. Now, we have the completion of the trifecta with renders for the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S22 (via Zouton).

Although the Ultra model has quite a few differences to it — including an S Pen slot — the basic and Plus models appear to be more of an iteration than anything else. The design stays the same and there don’t appear to be any new hardware elements.

Check out the image renders below, and take a look at the video above for more.

Samsung Galaxy S22 renders

Right out of the gate, you can see all the familiar design elements of the Galaxy S21. The triple-lens rear camera module remains virtually unchanged. The aluminum rails look unchanged at all, and the selfie camera display cutout is in the same place it was on this year’s model.

The only real difference we can tell is that the phone is likely to be physically smaller. Hemmerstoffer’s claimed dimensions are 146 x 70.5 x 7.6mm. That’s definitely smaller than the Galaxy S21, which is 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm. Will being thinner and smaller mean a drop in battery capacity or the loss of other features?

We’ll need to wait and see how leaks develop to know more about the phone. However, if you had your sights set on a Samsung Galaxy S22, you now know what you’ll be waiting for.
