- Samsung has announced new software update commitments for its smartwatches.
- The Galaxy Watch 4 series and future smartwatches will receive four years of One UI Watch and Wear OS updates.
Alongside the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 announcements, Samsung confirmed that several devices are eligible for five years of security updates. Now, the company has assured that its smartwatches will also receive extensive software support.
Samsung confirmed in a blog post that the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and “upcoming” Galaxy Watches would receive “up to four years” of One UI Watch and Wear OS updates. This means Samsung should support its current crop of flagship smartwatches through 2026.
