Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga star in one of the most visually arresting trailers we’ve seen for quite some time. Based on the 1929 novel by Nella Larson, Passing tells the story of childhood friends Irene and Clare in 1920s Harlem. Filmed in black and white, this social drama is anything but at its core, exploring the notions of self, the other, and the spaces between.
