- Specs of the OnePlus 10R have allegedly leaked.
- It gets a slew of upgrades compared to the OnePlus 9R but loses the alert slider, a first for a numbered OnePlus phone.
Update: April 12, 2022 (1:59 AM ET): OnePlus India CEO Navnit Nakra has confirmed to 91Mobiles that the upcoming R series “flagship device” will house a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series chip. This more or less confirms that the OnePlus 10R will get the previously rumored MediaTek 8100 SoC. The brand is holding a launch event on April 28 where it is expected to launch the phone.
Original article: March 28, 2022 (2 AM ET): OnePlus is expected to launch several phones in the coming months, including the OnePlus 10R. Specs of the phone have leaked, suggesting that it’s a rebrand of a Realme phone through and through.
The OnePlus 10R, like the 9R before it, could be an affordable phone that launches in select markets. As per 91Mobiles and tipster Yogesh Brar, the handset will bring a slew of upgrades, including 150W charging, a 50MP Sony IMX 766 camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and a larger 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen.
OnePlus will allegedly swap out the Snapdragon chip for the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. The phone was previously said to house the Dimensity 9000.
There’s no monochrome sensor this time around, and the rear camera array will be completed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. A 16MP sensor could take care of clicking selfies.
If these specs sound all too familiar, that’s because they are an exact match to the Realme GT Neo 3. The phone from OnePlus’ stablemate launched just last week as the first device with 150W fast charging. It seems OnePlus will all but stamp out the Realme branding and keep the rest for the 10R, including the design. And just like its Realme cousin, the 10R is also expected to get a version that offers a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
