Nothing is gearing up to launch the Ear 1 true wireless earbuds, marking the firm’s first product since it was started up by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei late last year. The company already revealed pricing of $99, £99, and €99 for the US, UK, and Europe respectively. But what about India? Fortunately, Nothing has just dished out details.
A company representative told YouTuber Technical Guruji (h/t: Sudhanshu Ambhore) that the Ear 1 earbuds will retail for Rs 5,999 (~$81) in India. That’s a pretty substantial price cut over other regions, with US consumers paying ~$18 more and UK users paying ~$57 more.
“This is a special price for India so that we can target a larger customer base,” Nothing India vice-president and general manager Manu Sharma told the YouTuber in an interview.
“India is an important market for Nothing and in partnership with Flipkart, we look forward to introducing ear (1) to Indian users at the same time as our global launch,” Sharma was later quoted as saying in a press release sent to Android Authority.

Nothing previously confirmed that the new earbuds would have three microphones and active noise cancellation, although there’s no official word on other details (e.g. IP rating, Bluetooth codecs, battery life).
The firm is also expected to offer a transparent design similar to its concept earbuds, but we’ll likely need to wait until the July 27 launch date for an official look at the earbuds.
