- Google’s new Pixel VIPs widget launched with the release of Android 16.
- However, some Pixel owners report that the widget is missing.
- An update to the Contacts app is likely needed before the widget becomes available.
Update, June 12, 2025 (07:05 AM ET): Users report that the Pixel VIPs widget now shows up correctly on their device. If you still don’t see it with the June Pixel Feature Drop installed, ensure your Google Contacts app is up to date through the Play Store. You can then force close the Contacts app and relaunch it. You should then see the Pixel VIPs widget appear as a widget option when you place a widget on your screen. Placing down the widget will redirect you to download the companion app, after which it should all work together seamlessly.
