- A report suggests the Google Tensor 2 could be based on a 4nm build.
- This would likely make the new processor more powerful than the 5nm original.
- The report also says Samsung will make the chip, as it did the first time around.
Last year, Google launched its first-ever mobile processor, known as Tensor, which landed in the Google Pixel 6 series. While the chip wasn’t as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, it did have some distinct advantages that made it pretty useful when it comes to machine learning and AI tricks.
With the Google Pixel 7 series confirmed along with a new processor upgrade to Google Tensor 2, it’s time for the leaks to begin. Today, via DDaily.co.kr, we found a report that suggests Samsung has started production of the second-gen Tensor chip using a 4nm process.
