- They’re only live in the latest Google app beta version on Google Play.
- Both widgets stick to your selected Material You theme, though they are quite large and difficult to resize.
Ever since Google showed off Android 12’s Material You theming engine for the first time, we’ve been waiting to get our hands on the fancy new weather widgets that were expected to arrive with the stable version of Android 12. Starting today, you can get both Android weather widgets on your phone, but there are a few prerequisites.
First, the Android 12 beta needs to be installed on your compatible smartphone. You also need to be enrolled in the latest Google app beta for Android, which is version 12.41. Once you enroll, you’ll need to update your Google app to the latest version. The widgets will not show up for you if you’re on the stable Google app channel.
