- Google will officially open the doors of the Google Store NYC tomorrow, June 17, 2021.
- The store is the company’s very first permanent physical retail location.
- We have some pics of the store courtesy of Google.
Google first opened the online Google Store way back in 2015. Over the years, it’s also opened physical pop-up shops all around the world, usually to coincide with a big new hardware release. One thing Google has never had, though, is a permanent physical retail space.
That all changes tomorrow. At 10:00 AM ET on June 17, 2021, Google will officially open the Google Store NYC, a new permanent home. Occupying the historic Chelsea Market building in Manhattan, the store will sell all manners of Google products. It will also exist as a showcase for those products to give customers a hands-on experience.

As one would expect, the store borrows a bit from the aesthetic of Apple Stores, of which there are already over 500 scattered around the world. However, Google does add its own spin on things by offering mock locations that can give you a feel for how its products could enhance your daily life.
Additionally, the Google Store in NYC will have plenty of Googlers on-hand to help you with products you want to buy as well as those you already own.
Google has an in-depth blog post available that discusses how the store came to be as well as how important sustainability is to the company.
Below, you can check out a handful of photos from the retail space, courtesy of Google and Paul Warchol. Stay tuned as Android Authority will be visiting the store and posting a full write-up this week!
