  • A code change has revealed a list of manufacturers that will support a take on Google’s Monet feature.
  • The Android 12 feature lets users extract colors from a wallpaper to be used for key UI elements.

One cool Android 12 feature touted by Google is the ability to extract the main colors from your wallpaper and use it for system interface elements (codenamed ‘Monet’). It’s only available on Pixel phones for now, but a recent discovery has revealed that a variety of other manufacturers are set to implement a similar feature.

Former XDA-Developers editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman spotted a code change in the Google Material Components Library. This change lists manufacturers who will be supporting the “dynamic color” feature.
