- Google has revealed that the long-awaited cast to nearby devices feature is finally coming to the Pixel Tablet.
- This feature allows you to cast media between the Pixel Tablet and Pixel phones.
- Unfortunately, the feature isn’t available on the Google TV Streamer, standard Pixel phones, or the mid-range Pixel handsets.
Update, October 24, 2024 (03:53 PM ET): After formally announcing the roll-out last week, it looks like Google has finally started flipping this new casting feature on for eligible hardware. 9to5Google now reports seeing the new controls appear on UWB-equipped Pixel phones running Google Play Services version 24.42.32. For the moment, availability still appears quite limited, and it may be some time before Google enables this support everywhere.
