The biggest trailer in this week’s roundup comes from Apple TV Plus. As my colleague Frederick Blichert points out, Apple TV Plus is fast becoming a powerhouse of original programming, and the trailer for its upcoming sci-fi saga proves that the platform is putting all its weight behind big-ticket productions.
Besides the Apple original trailer, we have clips for a couple of new and returning Netflix titles. Amazon Prime Video also enters the list with its upcoming film about a voyeuristic couple. Take a look.
The best new movie trailers and TV show teasers for upcoming streaming titles
Foundation
Apple presented a grand, new trailer for its upcoming sci-fi saga this week. Many believe that the Foundation novel series written by Issac Asimov had a large influence on Star Wars films. It is believed to be one of the greatest works of science fiction ever produced. Apple’s latest trailer for its televised series with the same name depicts larger-than-life galactic scenes and different wordly settlements. The premise revolves around mathematician Hari Seldon’s theory of psychohistory that predicts the impending fall of the Empire. He and his band of followers venture to the far reaches of the galaxy to establish “The Foundation” in an attempt to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization. But their efforts are opposed by ruling Cleons — a long line of emperor clones — that fear their powerful reign may be ending.
Nightbooks
Discover an apartment that can do magical things, travel all around the world, and has room to hold anything in this new movie trailer for Netflix’s Nightbooks. The film follows extraordinary events that happen around a boy obsessed with scary stories. Trapped by an evil witch in an enchanted apartment, he must tell a new scary tale every night to stay alive. Just when he thinks there’s no way out, he meets another “prisoner” of the house, and together they try to find a way to escape.

Dear White People season 4
This is the last and final season of Dear White People on Netflix and by the looks of the trailer, it’s going to be a bit of a musical. Set against the backdrop of senior year at Winchester and a post-pandemic future, the show’s new installment will find its characters putting together both an Afro-futuristic and 90s-inspired event.
The Voyeurs
A young couple (Sydney Sweeney and Justice Smith) happens to look across their apartment window and see another couple in an intimate setting. Before they know it, their innocent curiosity turns into voyeuristic pleasure as they continue spying on their neighbors and start keeping tabs on their sex life. However, their obsession soon becomes dangerous and threatens the very foundation of their own relationship.
