The best new movie trailers and TV show teasers for upcoming streaming titles
Cinderella
Amazon Prime Video‘s Cinderella is a musically-driven feature film that brings the fairytale to life in live-action. The first look teaser introduces us to Camila Cabello in the titular role and Billy Porter as her Fab G aka fairy godmother. The movie also stars Pierce Brosnan, Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, and Nicholas Galitzine. It comes to Prime Video on September 3.
Beckett
Releasing August 13, this upcoming Netflix action-thriller sets a nightmare premise for tourists. While vacationing in Greece, an American couple (John David Washington and Alicia Vikander) have a tragic car accident. Washington becomes an unwitting target of a manhunt after the crash and finds himself embroiled in a dangerous political controversy. The well-edited trailer shows him running for his life, jumping off cliffs, getting shot at by cops, but the mystery is kept alive as we don’t get to know why all of this is happening to a regular tourist.
The Chair
Netflix gave us a sneak peek of its Sandrah Oh series coming this August. The tiny clip shows Oh as Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim walking into her new office as the English department chair at the prestigious Pembroke University. With an air of achievement, she sits on her new office chair only for it to break and fall apart. The six-episode series will follow Ji-Yoon as she faces a unique set of challenges as the first woman to chair the department and as one of the few staff members of color at the university.

JOLT
Kate Beckinsale is a bouncer with a really short fuse in this electrifying trailer for JOLT. The footage for this action-comedy lets loose a femme fatal who needs to shock herself to keep her anger in check. “I’ve got this condition. It makes me snap,” she says in the trailer. Watch her kicks some gangster behinds and show off her fighting skills later this month on Amazon Prime Video.
The Many Saints of Newark
A prequel to The Sopranos, this upcoming HBO Max film focuses on the rise of Tony Soprano as one of the most powerful mafia bosses in 1960’s New Jersey. The trailer teases a coming-of-age story and shows us a young Tony who tests super high on the IQ test but lacks the drive to apply himself. However, crime is something he knows best and his uncle Dickie encourages him to get involved in the “family business.”
