  • The 2022 iPad Pro lineup is here, launched with a press release rather than a traditional event.
  • The new tablets feature the M2 processor, making them a bit more powerful than the previous models.
  • Both tablets are available to order today with retail stores getting them on October 26. The entry-level model is $799.

It seems like only yesterday that Apple was launching the iPhone 14 series. Today, however, the company quietly launched some new iPads in the form of 2022 iPad Pro models. The Cupertino company declined to do a traditional launch event and just pushed out a press release instead.

This was likely a smart move considering there’s not much going on with these new tablets. The 2022 iPad Pro models look the same as the previous generation and even come in the same sizes and with the same general specs. The only major upgrade is the inclusion of the M2 processor, a more powerful version when compared to the M1 of the 2021 iPads in the same price bracket.
