  • Renders apparently showing the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus have leaked online.
  • It shows a phone that looks almost identical to the Galaxy S21 Plus.

We got our first supposed look at the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra yesterday, as serial leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer and Digit.in shared renders purportedly showing the 2022 flagship. Now, it looks like we’ve got a first peek at the Galaxy S22 Plus as well.

Hemmerstoffer and 91mobiles posted renders (seen below) that apparently show the middle child of the Galaxy S22 series in a green colorway. And it looks like the S22 Plus has a lot in common with its predecessor, such as a center-mounted punch-hole cutout and the same triple camera housing mounted in the left corner of the rear cover. Even the position of the flash is identical to the 2021 Plus model.

In terms of I/O, it looks like Samsung has moved the volume keys a little lower down the side of the phone compared to the S21 Plus. Otherwise, you’ve got a USB-C port, speaker grille, and SIM tray at the bottom of the phone. The phone is also said to measure 157.4mm x 75.8mm x 7.6mm, with the camera bump bringing the thickness to 9.1mm.

Oddly enough, Hemmerstoffer told the outlet that he received the renders as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Pro rather than as the Galaxy S22 Plus. We’ll have to wait for more leaks and official information to figure out if Samsung is indeed opting for a name change.

It wouldn’t be the first time a Pro name was touted for an upcoming Samsung phone though. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 Plus was dubbed the Galaxy Note 10 Pro by several sources prior to its reveal, but this obviously didn’t pan out.

Either way, the S22 Plus is looking like more of an evolution over the S21 Plus. Meanwhile, the S22 Ultra’s leaked renders show a device that looks drastically different to the S21 Ultra, featuring an S Pen slot and a P-shaped camera bump.
