TL;DR

  • The Clicks Communicator is confirmed to be powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC.
  • The phone will also be updated all the way till Android 20, and will receive five years of security updates.
  • The early-bird $399 pricing has been extended to March 15, and new keyboard layouts, such as AZERTY and QWERTZ, are now supported.

Update, February 28, 2026 (12:40 AM ET): Jeff Gadway, CMO and co-founder of Clicks, offered the following statement on the Communicator’s SoC choice:

The Dimensity 8300 series was announced in late 2023, and available for OEMs to begin using in their programs in 2024. The first smartphones using the 8300 series began launching in 2025. The MT8883 chipset specifically is new for 2026, and offers a number of benefits such as longer platform support, which is one of the reasons why we choose it to power the Clicks Communicator
