Update: January 20, 2026 (10:49 PM ET): As we mentioned in our original reporting below, we reached out to OnePlus for comment. The company’s India team has now responded, telling us that OnePlus’ operations in the country will continue as “normal.”
While this doesn’t directly address every claim making the rounds, it does suggest that OnePlus isn’t planning any kind of wind-down overnight, at least in one of its biggest and most important markets.
