Samsung’s My Files might soon know when you’re on vacation — and act on it

  • Leaked One UI 8.5 firmware includes code that suggests the My Files app may detect when users are traveling.
  • Subsequently, the app would suggest clearing storage to make room for vacation photos and videos.

Thanks to a newer One UI 8.5 firmware floating around, numerous leaks have surfaced today regarding Samsung’s next update for Galaxy phones and tablets. We’ve spotted numerous UI changes, including updates to the Quick Settings panel and the Settings app, as well as newer designs incorporated into apps such as Clock, Calculator, and Internet. We’ve even found design files for the Galaxy S26 series. One UI’s My Files app could also get a “Short summary” feature, and we’ve now spotted another thoughtful new feature that could save you some pain during vacations.
