Android is the world’s most popular smartphone platform, trumping Apple’s iOS to account for the majority of smartphones. It’s easy to understand why this is the case too, as it’s free, customizable, used by a ton of OEMs, and has modest system requirements.

Google’s mobile platform has been around for over a decade, but what would need to happen for you to leave it? That’s the topic of our featured poll today, so cast your ballot via the poll below.

We can think of a number of reasons why some consumers would leave Android. Google locking down the mobile platform like iOS would be a major downer, essentially stripping Android of one of its biggest strengths (i.e. customization and sideloading).

Another potential reason for some people to leave Android would be if there’s a lack of innovation from Google and OEMs. Speaking of OEMs, we could see some people leaving Google’s platform if several big-name brands (e.g. Samsung, Xiaomi) ditch Android for other platforms.

You can make your voice heard via the poll above, but you can also choose “other” and leave a comment if you’d leave Android for a different reason.
