How to download and set wallpapers
Let’s start with the basics. We’ll help you figure out how to download and set a wallpaper.
Start by downloading the wallpaper you want. Don’t simply download the previews shown in this post. Those are compressed images and don’t offer all the image quality a worthy background image deserves. Instead, click on the button below each entry. This will take you to a download page where you can get the full-resolution images.
Send the full-resolution image to your phone. You can use Google Drive, send yourself an email, or transfer it using USB or Bluetooth.
Once the OnePlus wallpaper is stored on your phone, go ahead and follow the steps below to set it as your background.
Note: We came up with this process using a OnePlus 9 Pro running Android 11. We’ll also include instructions for setting a wallpaper on a stock Android device, using a Pixel 4a running Android 11. Just keep in mind that steps may change depending on the device and software your device is using. Some of these steps may be different for you. We’re giving you a couple of guides that will cover most users out there.
How to set a wallpaper on a OnePlus phone:
- Press and hold on any empty space on your home screen.
- Select Wallpapers.
- Go into My Photo.
- Find the wallpaper you downloaded. Select it.
- You can now pick whether you want to use the wallpaper for the home screen, lock screen, or both.
- Tap on Set wallpaper.
How to set a wallpaper on a stock Android phone:
- Press and hold on any empty space on your home screen.
- Select Styles & wallpapers.
- Go into My photos.
- This will lead you to a third-party file manager or photo app. Pick your app of choice.
- Find the wallpaper you’ve downloaded and pick it.
- You’ll now be able to modify and move the wallpaper to your preferred position. You can also choose to have different home screen and lock screen wallpapers.
- Make your choices and hit the checkmark button.

OnePlus 9
The OnePlus 9 features minimal and colorful wallpapers very similar to Samsung’s. The images are a bit more abstract and playful, though. We know many of you will enjoy them, and they come in a variety of colors, so chances are one of these will look great on your phone.
OnePlus 8T
The OnePlus 8T was the first to feature Samsung-like wallpapers. They are pretty different from the newer ones on the OnePlus 9, though. Colors, while vibrant, are not as saturated as others coming from OnePlus. They might fit some smartphones better.
OnePlus 8
You can see designs get a little wilder here. That’s because the OnePlus 8 and its predecessors were a bit more… adventurous. These wallpapers have more saturated colors and higher contrasting hues. They aren’t as elegant as newer OnePlus wallpapers, but they sure are fun! By the way, these are also available straight from the artist.
OnePlus 7T
The OnePlus 7T wallpapers are also colorful, abstract, and bold. They will look great on any screen, but they’ll be especially stunning if your display can produce high contrast, vibrant colors, and deep blacks.
OnePlus 7 Pro
The OnePlus 7 Pro wallpapers are much more dynamic. Especially the ones that feature stormy clouds, which make for a very moody look. These are great for users who want more bold and in-your-face OnePlus wallpapers.
OnePlus 6T
OnePlus 6T wallpapers are hard to decipher, but the abstract designs are very colorful and look awesome. They aren’t many, but they’re worth a look.
