- Android 14 is changing the way work profiles suspend apps in the background.
- Google is now using the same mechanism as the Extreme Battery Saver function in Android to suspend apps in work profiles when you switch out of them.
Update, July 25, 2023 (03:10 AM ET): Google has reached out to provide clarifications on the change. Namely, the changes to the work profile are to the technical mechanism of pausing apps, which will use the same mechanism as Extreme Battery Saver to suspend apps. We’ve made relevant changes to our coverage in accordance with this clarification.
