- Asus confirms the Zenfone 8 is heading to India.
- The phone will be among the few flagship-spec compact devices in the region.
The Asus Zenfone 8 recently rolled out to the US and Europe but promised the phone would also launch in India. It’s finally making good on that promise.
Asus India’s smartphone head Dinesh Sharma confirmed that the phone is still heading to India. A launch date will be announced “soon,” but Sharma shared a pre-release link in the meantime.
The Zenfone 8 will give Indian buyers a Snapdragon 888 SoC, a 5.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 64MP+12MP rear camera array, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s one of the few flagship-spec smartphones in a pocket-friendly shell.

It’s unclear how much you’ll need to fetch a Zenfone 8 in India, but the region generally sees lower prices than the US. Should this trend continues, expect a price point below the $629 asked for in that region.
Notably, Sharma didn’t confirm if the Zenfone 8 Flip will also make the journey to India, but expect to hear more about Asus’ plans in the coming weeks.
