With the notable exception of the Pixel 4 series, Google has long stuck with fingerprint unlock as the biometric authentication method of choice for the Pixel family. Now, a newly uncovered Pixel 2 prototype has revealed that Google thought about adding another authentication technology.
The Internal Archive Twitter account has posted pictures showing a Pixel 2 (Walleye) prototype complete with iris recognition technology. This allows you to securely unlock your phone by scanning your iris. Check the images out below.
