An SoC is the heart of a smartphone. It can make or break your experience of using a handset. There are only a handful of chipset vendors in the Android chipset market, of which Qualcomm and Mediatek are the largest and most popular ones. You also have Samsung with its own Exynos processors, and then some smaller players like Unisoc and Huawei with its Kirin chips (or whatever is left of them). Google’s also in the field now with its Tensor chip, but it’s a fairly new player amongst the more established brands.
