- Realme has made a U-turn, confirming that the Realme Pad will get Android 12.
- This came after the company said its first tablet wouldn’t get any OS updates.
Realme made the news for all the wrong reasons earlier this month when it quietly revealed on its website that the Realme Pad wouldn’t receive any OS updates. This was incredibly disappointing as the budget-priced tablet was less than six months old.
Fortunately, the company has now told Android Authority that the Realme Pad will get Android 12 in a rough Q3 2022 release window. A Realme representative added that the tablet would be “guaranteed” three years of security updates.
