- Samsung could add water resistance to more Galaxy A models in 2022.
- This could include the budget Galaxy A33.
- The Galaxy A53 and A73 are also believed to regain IP ratings.
Samsung tends to filter its flagship phone features down to mid-range and budget Galaxy A models. We’ve seen cheaper phones gain high refresh rate displays, larger camera sensors, and more. Now, a new report suggests that water resistance may be the latest feature addition to its budget offerings in 2022.
According to The Elec, at least four Samsung Galaxy A models will feature water-resistant bodies next year. Three of these models are perhaps obvious. The Galaxy A73 and A53 models could pick up their predecessors’ IP67 ratings. However, the Galaxy A33 is now in line for the upgrade, too. It could be Samsung’s cheapest phone with an IP rating when it lands next year.
